ABOUT- my art, myself
some background info about me.
My art background is in the field of commercial art. I've spent some 20+ years creating technical illustrations, photos and text for technical publications, the kind of stuff that shows you how to rebuild a carburetor or operate a tractor. I've also spent a number of years actually on the production line of places like International Harvestor building tractors, running drill press, welding, heat treating etc. So, much of my art is borne of or influenced by those processes. There is also a narrative, or visionary element in my pieces.
I do have a degree in commercial art but I've pretty much devised my own methods and techniques to create the work that I do.
The Story Behind this Site
Basically this site is an online portfolio / brochure to give the viewer an idea of the type of art I have been creating lately, & an overview of myself, and also way to purchase my prints.
Others
My wife Peg, in addition to being the source of my inspiration, my muse, and my anchor to reality Is my artistic co-conspiritor. She creates inexplicable assemblages that come from a place in her soul that I cannot ever fully fathom. I encourage you to see her web site listed below.....
